The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, coming soon for both the Switch and Wii U, will offer downloadable content and expansion pass. Nintendo has said multiple times that this is the largest game that they have ever created, and that’s without the expansion content.
On March 3, players can purchase the expansion pass for $20, which will come with two sets of downloadable content when they become available. The first pack will release summer 2017, and the second will be available sometime around the holidays 2017.
“The world of Hyrule, which we created for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is so large and vibrant that we wanted to offer more for players to experience within it,” said Nintendo developer Eiji Aonuma, the long-time producer of the series. “With this new Expansion Pass, we hope that fans will play, explore and enjoy the game even more.”
